Gumbo isn’t just a hearty stew containing a spicy mixture of meat, shellfish, okra and other vegetables, it’s also a culturally flavorful mish mash based on Louisiana’s diverse ethnic background (think French, Spanish, German, West African, AND Choctaw). But Louisiana isn’t the only place to find authentic Creole or Cajun flavor. This weekend its as close as our own downtown streets during the annual Rehoboth Beach Main Street Gumbo Crawl this Saturday, March 5, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Holy okra! Participating restaurants will be serving up their tastiest gumbo creations for this culinary extravaganza that is sure to knock your socks off!
